Information for Scientists

We have gathered below important information that we hope will help you to assist us in the identification of "All Taxa" in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park ATBI.

** Please note that park database manager, Michael Kunze, is no longer working at the GSMNP.  Kendra Straub has been selected as his successor. At this point, please send data questions to either Kendra Straub or Chuck Cooper. Send data content questions to Becky Nichols. Thank you for your cooperation. **

Critical DLIA/ATBI Grant Program Information:

To be clear ... at this point there are no traditional "mini grants" from DLIA, but the Park is still interested in inventorying the high priority organism groups, and expects DLIA to process proposals for special funding. Please submit your proposal to DLIA and we'll work with the Park on this and get back to you as soon as we can concerning your acceptance.

PARK DATABASE - You may note that the park specimen data output application is no longer listed here. If you desire more specific data not seen in this website's taxa  and data projects pages, please contact GSMNP Research Coordinator, Paul Super (paul_super@nps.gov).
